Save Souls Today ("we," "us," "the station") streams Traditional Catholic
sermons live and on demand at https://savesouls.today. This page explains what
information our site handles when you visit or listen, and why.
What we don't collect
There are no accounts, logins, newsletters, comments, or payment forms anywhere on this
site. We never ask you for your name, email address, or any other personal information. We
don't use any advertising services.
What happens automatically when you visit
Like virtually any website, our web server keeps standard access logs for security and
operational purposes -- which pages were requested, when, and the visitor's IP address. These
logs are not used to build a profile of you, and we don't sell or share them.
Playback and search
Playing the live stream or an on-demand sermon, and searching sermon transcripts, work by
your browser making direct requests to our servers for the audio or text requested. No account
or sign-in is involved, and we don't track individual listening history tied to you personally.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site -- which pages get viewed,
roughly how many visitors we get, and general information like country and device type. Google
Analytics does this using cookies and similar technology in your browser.
In regions where the law requires it (such as the EU, UK, and similar jurisdictions),
analytics cookies only run after you've agreed to them -- you'll see a short banner asking
first. To know whether that step applies to you, we check a visitor's general region from
their IP address (never precise location or GPS), and remember the result in a small cookie of
our own so we don't have to check again on your next visit. That cookie exists only to
remember that decision; it isn't used for tracking or analytics. Elsewhere, including the
United States, analytics runs without the extra step.
Whether or not that banner applies to you, we don't use Google Analytics to identify you
personally, and we don't share what it collects beyond what Google Analytics itself provides.
You can read Google's own privacy policy at
policies.google.com/privacy,
and opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all sites using the
Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Services we rely on
A few pages of this site load resources directly from these third parties, each of which may
see your IP address and browser information as an ordinary consequence of serving that
resource, under their own privacy policies:
- Google Fonts and Font Awesome -- the typefaces and
icons used throughout the site.
- Bootstrap (via the jsDelivr CDN) -- the site's layout framework.
- Nexuscast -- our streaming and radio-automation provider. Your browser
contacts Nexuscast's servers directly to play the live stream and to show what's currently
playing.
How we use Google Drive
Behind the scenes, our station's own administrative system uses the Google Drive API to
store and back up our own files -- sermon recordings and database backups. This access was
authorized directly by the station's operator, using the operator's own Google account; it is
not connected to you, and visitors to this site never sign in with Google or grant us access to
any Google account of their own. We don't access, collect, or share any Google user data
belonging to anyone other than the station operator, and only to manage our own files.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children. We don't
knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, since we don't collect
personal information from visitors at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
